Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane Valley is seeking a part-time Crisis Triage Specialist for the Mobile Dispatch Unit. This role provides telephone triage, risk assessments, and crisis stabilization for youth, adults, and families in crisis.

You will collaborate with partners to dispatch urgent care and ensure safety, working within FBH’s trauma-informed framework. The role requires a behavioral health degree and credentialing within 30 days, with preference for crisis experience and strong

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field required.
• Must submit Counselor Agency Affiliated - Registered credential within 30 days of hire.
• Two years of crisis experience preferred.
• Knowledge of WAC, RCW, and best practices for MRRCT and DCR.
• Ability to communicate with diverse populations and trauma backgrounds.
• Strong critical thinking and problem solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone triage and crisis intervention to callers in distress.
• Conduct risk assessments for suicide or homicide and coordinate with Law Enforcement as needed.
• Manage multiple calls professionally and establish initial stabilization plans.
• Document safety plans and referrals accurately and confidentially.
• Engage with clients, families, and community resources to support safety and stabilization.
• Assist with expanded assignments within FBH systems as needed.
