Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane, WA, seeks a Crisis Clinician to provide triage, de-escalation, and crisis intervention services. This role supports rapid response, risk assessment, and linkage to resources across community settings.

The position requires a behavioral health degree, WA credentialing within 30 days, and a valid driver’s license. A Wednesday–Saturday evening shift with differential pay is specified, along with extensive benefits and professional support.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health related field.
• Must apply for Counselor Agency Affiliated – Registered credential from WA State Department of Health within 30 days of hire.
• Must have an unrestricted and valid driver’s license, pass vehicle screening, have active car insurance, and be willing to use personal vehicle for work.
• Two years of experience with psychiatrically impaired populations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and follow-up phone triage, assessment, and de-escalation for behavioral health crises.
• Deliver crisis and hospital diversion services for youth, adults, and families.
• Refer individuals to community stabilization and crisis resources, including linkage to a Designated Crisis Responder (DCR).
• Conduct risk assessments for suicide/homicide and coordinate with supervisors for safety.
• Collaborate with Mobile Dispatch Unit to meet contract requirements.
• Document thoroughly to support safety plans and services.
