Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern California and Northern Nevada (VOA NCNN) is seeking a full-time Support Staff member for our Single Program at the Mather Community Campus. The role involves assisting residents, upholding program rules, coordinating daily living activities, and ensuring safety.

You will work shifts that include swing and overnight hours, provide compassionate service, maintain records, and collaborate with staff to help clients move toward self-sufficiency.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and comprehend oral and written instructions.
• Experience serving clients with homelessness, substance abuse, youth."
• Flexibility to work irregular hours and ability to work as a team member.

Responsibilities

• Explain program rules and regulations to residents.
• Coordinate meal preparation/service and daily routines.
• Provide awake shift coverage and conduct safety checks.
• De-escalate crises and provide emergency assistance.
• Maintain daily reports and complete shift logs.
• Ensure health/sanitation compliance.
