Job summary

VOA-NCNN, a nonprofit organization, is recruiting for full-time Support Staff for our Single Program at the Mather Community Campus. You will assist residents with daily routines, ensure safety, and support program activities in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

The role requires flexibility for day and overnight shifts, teamwork, and accurate shift documentation, with CPR/First Aid training and health clearances required within the first 90 days of employment.

Qualifications

• This position requires demonstrated ability to communicate and comprehend oral and written instructions.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• Completion and maintenance of all required training and health clearances.

Responsibilities

• Explain program rules and regulations to residents and facilitate residents’ observance of the rules.
• Coordinate meal preparation/service, bed/sleeping assignments, showers, laundering, and other daily routines.
• Provide awake shift coverage and maintain grounds security; conduct hourly safety checks.
• De-escalate crises and provide emergency assistance to clients and co-workers as necessary.
• Maintain daily reports to provide statistical information.
• Perform housekeeping and maintenance tasks as needed and prepare rooms for next resident.
• Respond to client questions and concerns and complete shift logs and paperwork.
• Maintain clear, thorough communication with all residents and staff.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
• Assist VOA staff in implementing plans to help residents succeed in the program.
