Job summary

Volunteers of America Northern California & Northern Nevada, Inc. is recruiting full-time overnight Support Staff for Meadowview Navigation Center in Sacramento.

You will work 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM to provide safe, compassionate service to women experiencing homelessness, conduct checks, support housing stability, and maintain security and cleanliness. Responsibilities include engaging guests with trauma-informed approaches, explaining program requirements, coordinating meals and routines,

Qualifications

• Experience working with homeless populations preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests and staff.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours.

Responsibilities

• Engage guests with trauma-informed, compassionate service.
• Explain program requirements and ensure guest compliance.
• Coordinate meals, room assignments, and daily routines.
• Provide awake shift coverage and maintain safety and cleanliness.
• Perform housekeeping and maintenance tasks as needed.
• Respond to emergencies and de-escalate conflicts.
