Job summary

RHA Health Services, LLC seeks a Qualified Professional to join the Asheville City REST team as a Co-Responder, Crisis Counselor and Case Manager. This role embeds a mental health professional with the REST team to co-respond to behavioral health calls, assist with de-escalation, assessment, and linkage to resources.

A minimum of one year crisis response experience is required. The position requires a Qualified Professional license or higher, with the schedule including evenings, weekends, and

Qualifications

• Must meet the requirements of a Qualified Professional.
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Services field with 2+ years full-time experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a non-Human Services field with 4+ years full-time experience.
• Master’s degree or higher with 1+ years full-time experience.
• License, provisional license, certificate, registration, or permit issued by governing board regulating human service profession.

Responsibilities

• Provides support to individuals with mental health and/or substance use issues in home, school, workplace and community settings.
• Focus is on assisting individuals with living independently with strength-based recovery.
• Facilitating relationships and serving as a link between individuals served, the company, families, guardians and the community.
• Minimizing the impact of psychiatric symptoms or substance dependence on daily living.
• Performing case management linking and arranging for services and referrals.
• Collaborating with clinical staff to maintain communication and expedite service delivery.
