Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking a Crisis Services Training Specialist within the School of Social Work to develop and deliver crisis intervention trainings for Medicaid providers statewide. The role covers IM+CANS/IM-CAT content, mobile crisis, and related funder initiatives, with travel across Illinois.

The incumbent will train providers, align curricula with SoC principles, and collaborate with PATH leadership to ensure policy compliance and effective implementation.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field from an accredited college or university.
• One (1) - three (3) years of Crisis Work experience.
• Illinois clinical licensure.
• LPHA status pursuant to 89 ILAC 140.453.
• IM+CANS trainer level certification within 90 days of hire.
• SOC trainer certification within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver web-based and on-site trainings statewide for the IM+CANS and IM-CAT tools and related topics.
• Train Medicaid enrolled providers to support implementation, compliance, and analysis of crisis services.
• Develop trainings on crisis response and intervention skills relevant to care planning for children and families; provide SME feedback.
• Travel statewide as needed, and support ongoing curriculum development and statewide training strategies.
