Job summary

University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign is seeking an IM+CANS Coaching Specialist to provide training and mentorship to community behavioral health staff and leadership across Illinois. The role focuses on implementing the IM+CANS tool, guiding TCOM philosophy, and developing statewide curricula for new services and SOC initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work or related field required with Clinical licensure in Illinois (LPHA) or equivalent.
• 1–3 years of Behavioral Health Services (Clinical) experience.
• Active IM+CANS user certification including past PATH training; trainer certification within 90 days and SOC trainer certification within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-person and online coaching sessions and learning collaboratives to improve IM+CANS usage and the TCOM philosophy.
• Lead development of Learning Collaboratives to support IM+CANS usage and Wraparound services for care coordination.
• Develop training curricula, including on-site and web-based training for intermediate and advanced use of the IM+CANS; provide SME input for new services and statewide support strategies.
• Plan and deliver statewide web-based and on-site trainings on IM+CANS and Systems of Care integration.
• Coordinate with staff and leadership across organizations; train new Medicaid services to support implementation and analysis.
• Travel statewide several days per week to deliver trainings and monitor effectiveness.
