Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane is seeking a Crisis Triage Specialist to provide telephone crisis intervention and evaluation for youth, adults and families in a behavioral health crisis. You will assess, de-escalate, and connect clients to stabilization services, with collaboration from community partners.

This role includes managing 10 to 20 cases, adhering to WACs and RCWs, and offering compassionate, trauma-informed care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health field.
• WA Counselor Agency Affiliated – Registered credential within 30 days of hire.
• Two years crisis experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial and follow-up phone triage, assessment, and de-escalation in behavioral health crisis.
• Refer individuals to stabilization services and Designated Crisis Responders as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments for suicide/homicide and coordinate with authorities or responders.
• Collaborate with the Lead Manager to meet ITA/CIT timeframes and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain documentation and knowledge of crisis resources and RCW/WAC requirements.
