Job summary

Frontier Behavioral Health in Spokane Valley is seeking a Crisis Triage Specialist for the Mobile Dispatch Unit to deliver telephone triage, crisis intervention, and risk assessments for youth, adults, and families in crisis.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in behavioral health, crisis experience preferred, and on-site weekday hours from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in behavioral health or related field is required.
• Two years of experience serving individuals with behavioral health needs preferred.
• Experience with crisis intervention, including risk assessments, is preferred.
• Knowledge of WAC, RCW, and best practices for MRRCT and Designated Crisis Responders.
• Ability to communicate and engage effectively with individuals of varied backgrounds, trauma experiences, cultures, and socio-economic status.

Responsibilities

• Provide telephone triage services to individuals requesting assistance or 3rd party referral sources to provide crisis intervention and community stabilization services to the identified individual in crisis.
• Complete risk assessments to determine if caller is at risk for suicide and/or homicide, and who may need an immediate response, which may include referrals to Law Enforcement, DCR, and/or Active Rescue.
• Develop initial stabilization and safety plans with clients and their support system until MRRCT can be dispatched.
• Complete comprehensive documentation which supports the safety plan as indicated.
• Maintain client records and all other required documentation in a timely and confidential manner, in accordance with agency policies and practices.
