Job summary

Legacy Treatment Services is seeking a Crisis Response Specialist in Northfield, NJ. This part-time role involves evaluating consumers, determining need for additional mental health services, and coordinating with on-call clinicians for support.

Applicants should hold a Bachelor's Degree in a mental health field (or relevant experience with a degree), possess a valid driver's license, and be prepared to deliver trauma-informed, culturally competent care with de-escalation and safety planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a mental health related field from an accredited institution with two years post-Bachelor professional experience.
• Or a Bachelor's Degree in any field from an accredited institution with three years post-Bachelor professional experience in a mental health field.
• Driver's license must be in good standing with no suspensions or violations, and no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate consumers and decide if additional psychological, psychiatric, or clinical services are needed.
• Activate the on-call Master's Level Clinician for additional support when required.
• Provide culturally appropriate, trauma-informed care with de-escalation and safety planning.
• Work in crisis outreach teams to assess risk, link to services, and ensure follow-up care.
