Job summary

PermiaCare is seeking a Crisis Response Specialist to respond to mental health crisis calls from law enforcement, ERs, and the crisis hotline. The role includes crisis intervention, entry into crisis respite facilities, and collaboration with law enforcement, hospital personnel, and the judiciary.

Responsibilities include travel across West Texas counties and on-call coverage. The position requires a Bachelor's degree in related fields and at least 1 year in mental health experience, with QMHP

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing, rehabilitation, counseling, sociology, human growth and development, physician assistance, gerontology, special education, educational psychology, early childhood education or early childhood intervention or a bachelor’s degree with at least 30 hours of coursework in the fields mentioned.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis calls within 10 minutes by phone.
• Provide face-to-face crisis intervention when indicated within 1 hour.
• Ensure least-restrictive setting and document all actions.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation in the EHR.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, hospitals, and judiciary as needed.
• Travel to other counties in West Texas as required.
