Job summary

PermiaCare seeks a Crisis Response Hospital Liaison to respond to daytime mental health crisis calls at the Permian Basin Behavioral Health Center. The role involves assessing needs, initiating crisis interventions, and facilitating entrance into crisis respite facilities when appropriate.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 1 year of mental health experience. QMHP certification must be obtained within 6 months; driving is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, medicine, nursing or related field or 30 hours coursework in these areas.
• At least 1 year of mental health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis calls by phone within 10 minutes.
• Provide face-to-face crisis intervention within 1 hour when indicated.
• File Emergency Detention applications and ensure proper documentation in EHR.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and accurate documentation within required timeframes.
• Develop positive relationships with hospital personnel, law enforcement and judiciary.
• Discharge clients as needed and provide follow-up and aftercare services.
