Job summary

La Frontera EMPACT - Suicide Prevention Center in Arizona seeks a specialist to provide direct crisis interventions across in-home, school, office, and community settings. You will coordinate referrals, maintain records, and ensure continuity of care while working with a dedicated team in high‑risk situations.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Psychology/Counseling/Social Work, a high school diploma, and experience with EHR systems.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a directly related field is required for Specialist roles.
  • High school diploma required
  • Experience working with children in Department of Child Safety (RBHA children's system preferred)
  • Experience utilizing electronic health records system
  • Must be detail oriented and have good time management, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • Clear and effective communication.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills. Conflict resolution skills. Ability to remain calm when assisting high-risk clients.
  • Bilingual Spanish ability a plus.
  • Fingerprint clearance card or be eligible to obtain one.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age at time of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct in-home, in-office, in school and community based crisis services, including crisis intervention, transportation, stabilization, client support and referrals.
  • Ensure quality service delivery including clinical care and all documentation; maintain client records per agency policies.
  • Provide comprehensive services to clients and coordinate communication across departments for continuity of care; maintain relationships with state and community partners.
  • Comply with the agency’s standard of care; assist with Quality Management and Utilization Review as needed.
  • Work in potentially volatile situations and react professionally to crisis situations; work overtime when required with managerial approval.
  • May use own vehicle if agency van is unavailable; not required to transport clients in own vehicle.
  • Assist in providing guidance to new staff or interns on intervention, documentation, and process flow.
