Job summary

PermiaCare seeks a Crisis Response Specialist to assess and manage mental health crises for community members, coordinating with law enforcement, hospitals, and the crisis hotline. The role requires responding quickly, providing on-site interventions, and facilitating entry into crisis respite facilities when needed.

The position involves travel across West Texas, working on a 5-days-on/5-days-off rotation, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology or related field.
• QMHP certification within 6 months.
• Must have valid Texas driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Respond to crisis calls within 10 minutes by phone.
• Make face-to-face responses within 1 hour when indicated.
• Provide least-restrictive, appropriate crisis intervention settings.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and EHR entries.
• Travel to counties in West Texas as needed and on call shifts.
