Job summary

EMPACT-SPC, part of La Frontera family, is hiring a Crisis Specialist DCS EMPACT in San Tan Valley, AZ. You will provide direct crisis intervention services in home, school, and community settings, coordinating with DCS and other systems to ensure continuity of care.

Ideal candidates have a behavioral health background, experience with children, and strong communication skills. A valid Arizona driver license is preferred and flexibility for shifts and overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work or related field.
• Alternatively, Bachelor's degree with 1 year full-time behavioral health experience.
• Or Associate's degree with a minimum of two years full-time behavioral health work experience.
• HS Diploma/GED with four years of full-time behavioral health work experience to reach BHT status.
• Experience working with children in DCS or RBHA systems preferred.
• Experience utilizing electronic health records system.
• Must be detail oriented with good time management, organizational and customer service skills.
• Clear and effective communication.
• Bilingual Spanish ability a plus.
• Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one.
• Must be at least 21 years old.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct in-home, in-office, in-school and community-based crisis services.
• Coordinate care with Behavioral Health providers and other agencies to ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain client records in accordance with agency policies.
• Provide quality service delivery and documentation.
• Oversee dept vehicles and report incidents; conduct basic safety checks when needed.
• Work in potentially volatile situations and respond professionally.
