Job summary

High Point & Affiliated Organizations seeks a Crisis Intervention Specialist/Driver (CIS) for per diem shifts at the MCI Brockton site. The CIS provides security, de-escalation, and transportation support for patients, with access to a company vehicle and on-site training.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and preferred experience in mental health or substance use treatment. Per diem status includes shifts on first or third rotation with comprehensive benefits and on-call duties.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of supervised experience in mental health/substance abuse treatment or a closely related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set limits and enforce rules.
• Comply with DMH, Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
• Know ASAM criteria.
• Intervene as needed in a crisis.
• Utilize Walkie-Talkie as a campus responder.
• Conduct internal and external security rounds.
• Assist with routine and emergency medical/psychiatric problems including 1:1 observation and safety checks.
• Assist with restraint and seclusion per policy.
• Record interactions and observations in daily reports and share pertinent information with nursing/clinical staff.
• Conduct room and property searches when indicated.
• Use standard precautions at all times.
• Respect patients' rights as defined by those rights.
• Attend unit meetings and case conferences as directed by Supervisor.
• Attend mandatory training.
