High Point & Affiliated Organizations seeks a Crisis Intervention Specialist/Driver (CIS) for Brockton, MA. The role is full-time and on-site, with a pay range of $20-$24 per hour, dependent on experience and education; status is per diem with first or third shifts.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with relevant mental health/substance use experience preferred. The CIS provides safety monitoring, de-escalation, and transport support, using the company vehicle as needed, within MCI and

Qualifications

• Ability to problem solve in a timely and therapeutic manner.
• Ability to relate and care for diverse patient populations.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to organize ideas clearly.
• Knowledge of basic computer skills and EMR systems.
• Understand confidentiality and HIPAA regulations.
• CPR certification and de-escalation training.

Responsibilities

• Set limits and enforce rules.
• Compliance with DMH, Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies.
• Intervene in crises as needed.
• Utilize Walkie-Talkie for campus responder duties.
• Conduct security rounds and monitor safety.
• Assist with routine and emergency medical and psychiatric problems (1:1 observation, safety checks, procedures).
• Document interactions in daily reports and communicate with nursing/clinical staff.
• Assist with room and property searches when indicated.
• Respect patients' rights and participate in treatment team as required.
• Attend unit meetings, facility meetings, and mandatory trainings.
