Job summary

EMPACT-SPC in Arizona is seeking Crisis Specialists to join our team in Tempe or Glendale. You will respond to crisis calls, perform crisis interventions, and coordinate care for ongoing clients across home, school, and community settings.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field with 1 year of behavioral health experience; bilingual Spanish/English is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in psychology, counseling, social work or related field plus 1 year Behavioral Health experience OR qualifications to meet BHT level requirements.
• Spanish/English bilingual preferred; bilingual differential pay per hour may apply.
• Flexibility to extend work shift to complete crisis work, paperwork, etc. as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct crisis services in-home, in-office, in-school and community settings, including crisis interventions and de-escalation.
• Maintain client records and ensure quality service delivery per agency policies.
• Coordinate with other departments to achieve continuity of care and develop partnerships with related organizations.
• Assist with Quality Management and Utilization Review as needed and comply with agency standards of care.
• Operate safely and cooperatively as part of a cohesive team; oversee everyday functioning of department vehicles as required.
• May work in volatile crisis situations and adapt professionally to environment and circumstances.
