St. Luke's Health Network, Inc. seeks a Mental Health Crisis Intervention professional to provide comprehensive crisis intervention and coordinate admission/referral for psychiatric evaluations.

The role supports access to Behavioral Health Services and collaborates with hospital teams to ensure appropriate patient placement. The position requires clinical crisis intervention experience and education in human services (Bachelor’s or Master’s).

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year direct clinical mental health/crisis intervention experience required.
• Bachelor's degree with 2-6 years of equal job experience or Master’s with 1-3 years equal experience.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsabilités

• Conduct intake assessments for mental health needs in the ED or Walk-In Center and refer to appropriate level of care.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners and BH staff to facilitate referrals and placement.
• Serve as liaison for other hospital/network sites and support requests from patient care areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of Mental Health regulations regarding patient rights and admission status.
• Provide skills for de-escalation and management of agitated/violent patients when needed.
• Support utilization management through pre-certification processes for intakes and consults.
