St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a dedicated mental health professional to provide comprehensive crisis intervention in the Emergency Department and Walk-In Center.

The role includes intake assessments, referrals, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams to ensure appropriate placement and access to Behavioral Health Services. Responsibilities also involve ensuring compliance with mental health regulations, patient rights, and admission status, while supporting de-escalation

Qualifikationen

• Minimum one year of direct clinical mental health/crisis intervention experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a human services field with 2–6 years of related experience.
• Master’s degree in a human services field with 1–3 years of related experience; Master’s preferred.
• Experience with case management, utilization review, and managed care models preferred.

Aufgaben

• Conduct intake assessments for patients with mental health needs in the Emergency Department or Walk-In Center.
• Coordinate referrals to appropriate levels of care with care teams.
• Serve as liaison across hospital and network sites to facilitate patient placement.
• Ensure compliance with Mental Health regulations concerning patient rights and admission status.
• Assess age-appropriate communication and growth/development in patients.
• Support agitation management and de-escalation, including safety procedures.
• Assist with utilization management and pre-certification for intakes and consults.
• Monitor the therapeutic environment as needed.
