Job summary

UPMC’s Resolve Crisis Service is seeking Crisis Clinicians to join the 24/7 on-site Crisis Chat/Text Program serving Allegheny County. You will provide emotional support through online chat and text, applying clinical interventions, crisis assessment, and written communication to maintain engagement and therapeutic connection.

Roles include rotating hours to cover 24/7 service; weekends/holidays required. Sign-on bonuses of $3,500 (2-year commitment) or $5,000 (3-year commitment) are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling or social work; other fields may be considered with coursework in human services.
• A copy of your bachelor's or master's transcripts must be attached for consideration.
• Ability to respond calmly and effectively to psychiatric and medical emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Provide supportive counseling to promote stability using a person-centered, strength-based approach.
• Offer 24/7 crisis chat/text support to the community.
• Identify safety or lethality risks and develop safety plans with the texter/chatter.
• Document accurately in the Electronic Medical Record and complete required paperwork.
• Participate in trainings and staff meetings; collaborate with clinicians to determine disposition plans.
