Job summary

Connections Health Solutions in Kirkland, WA is hiring a Unit Coordinator to provide administrative support for clinical services and to coordinate registration, insurance verification, and documentation. You will work closely with clinicians to ensure smooth unit operations and accurate data entry in the EHR.

You will greet visitors, manage schedules, and support discharge processes while upholding a patient‑centered, compliant environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1 year of exceptional customer service‑oriented work experience is required.
• 3 years of clerical experience is required.
• Current Notary or ability to become one within 90 days is required.
• Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques.
• Vaccination policy compliance is required before start date.
• Complete credentialing requirements including NPI, Medallion enrollment, Medicare, and other credentials.

Responsibilities

• Registers individuals for services, including Medicaid eligibility verification, enrollment with a health plan, and/or third‑party insurers; schedules appointments where applicable.
• Works with the clinical team and communicates any concerns regarding a patient’s presentation to the appropriate discipline.
• Greets and assists visitors; maintains security and issues visitor badges.
• Oversees episode of care in the EHR with accuracy and efficiency.
• Coordinates discharge with inpatient facilities and within the EHR.
• Obtains clinical records and coordinates with physicians, nurses and other team members.
• Assists with involuntary admission processes and acts as a liaison between departments.
• Provides welcoming customer service to families, visitors and vendors.
• Answers calls, provides information, transfers calls and takes messages.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
