Job summary

Legal & General Asset Management in Chicago seeks an experienced System Analyst/Business Analyst to support CRIMS and other front-office systems. You will troubleshoot incidents, analyze performance, and collaborate with technical teams to minimize downtime and optimize workflows.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in CS, 5+ years in investment management, and strong SQL/T‑SQL and FIX protocol knowledge. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Deep understanding of investment management workflows and processes.
• Knowledge of T-SQL and SQL databases; basic cloud/virtualization concepts.
• Experience supporting front-office systems like Charles River CRIMS.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across levels and teams.
• Experience on investment/trading floors; cross-cultural adaptability.
• Familiarity with market data sources and financial instruments.

Responsibilities

• Respond to production incidents, investigate root causes, and implement fixes to prevent recurrence.
• Provide expert-level technical support for complex system issues with developers and other teams.
• Monitor production health and performance; identify anomalies and take proactive action.
• Escalate critical incidents and ensure timely resolution with minimal business impact.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of procedures, resolutions, and configurations.
• Participate in change management; assess impacts of proposed changes.
• Collaborate with dev and infra teams to identify bottlenecks and optimize performance.
• Analyze recurring incidents to identify trends and long-term solutions.
• Conduct workflow testing in CR IMS lower environments for regression testing.
• Coordinate change backlogs and contribute ideas for technical improvements.
