Job summary

The City of Conroe seeks a Crime Analyst to apply Texas laws, police procedures and crime patterns in statistical research using advanced software and secure databases. You will support real time crime operations, provide actionable leads to officers, and help forecast incidents.

Drone First Responder duties may be included. Responsibilities include producing crime visuals, training personnel, and evaluating procedures for improvement.

Qualifications

• Analytical reasoning and math skills required.
• Knowledge of crime analysis methods and data handling.
• Excellent written and oral communication abilities.
• Ability to work with the public and staff effectively.

Responsibilities

• Perform crime analysis and forecasting using software and data.
• Create crime charts, graphs and maps showing patterns.
• Provide leads and data to officers in the field.
• Operate the Drone First Responder program.
• Develop training for police personnel.
