City of Myrtle Beach in Myrtle Beach, SC seeks a Real-Time Crime Analyst to collect, analyze, and provide real-time crime information from multiple sources to aid law enforcement. Responsible for research, data collection, and reporting, and may lead projects and present progress to stakeholders.

duties include real-time camera monitoring, LPR data alerts, and coordinating with outside agencies while maintaining FAA Part 107 drone operations and ensuring compliance with laws and safety

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent in public/business admin or criminal justice or related field.
• Must complete and maintain an NCIC certification.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certification or ability to obtain within one year.
• Familiar with CAD software and records management systems.

Responsibilities

• Advise personnel of criminal activity via radio and CAD with real-time video/audio support.
• Monitor city camera networks and respond to in-progress incidents.
• Coordinate with outside agencies using camera/video data.
• Maintain drone flight logs and ensure FAA compliance; operate drones for DFR.
• Input and retrieve data from CAD, records, and databases for investigations.
