Job summary

The City of Myrtle Beach is seeking a Real-Time Crime Analyst to collect, analyze, and provide real-time crime information across multiple sources to aid police operations. You will support on-call camera monitoring, data collection, and reporting to assist in major incidents.

You will monitor cameras, LPR data, and gunshot detection; operate drones for the Drone as First Responder program; maintain FAA compliance and federal/state records; and coordinate with agencies for rapid, informed

Qualifications

Associate's degree or equivalent in public administration or related field; or 1–2 years of related experience.
Must complete and maintain NCIC certification.
FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate or ability to obtain within one year.

Responsibilities

Advise personnel of criminal activity via radio and CAD with real-time video/audio support.
Monitor city camera networks and LPR data; provide input on camera configs.
Monitor gunshot detection systems and notify Dispatch as needed.
Operate UAS/drone flights for the Drone as First Responder program and provide aerial video.
Maintain records, reports, and compliance with FAA and departmental policies.
Coordinate with outside agencies to share camera video-related information.
Assist in deployment planning and resource allocation for incident suppression.
Maintain security and integrity of all information in Real-Time Crime Center.
