Job summary

Challenge Unlimited Inc. is seeking a Full-time Janitor for the day shift at Fort McCoy, WI to keep our facility clean and orderly.

The role requires attentive cleaning and basic maintenance to support operations. Responsibilities include cleaning designated areas, restrooms, offices and break rooms; stocking supplies; operating cleaning equipment safely; and collaborating with the team to meet quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of janitorial experience.
• Driver’s license required.
• Supervisory experience helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Clean and supply designated building areas including restrooms.
• Vacuum, sweep, mop floors; dust and sanitize surfaces.
• Stock and maintain supply rooms; operate cleaning equipment safely.

Position Summary:

We are looking a Full-time Janitor for the day shift Crew Lead Janito r to take care of our building at Fort McCoy WI to carry out cleaning and maintenance duties. The goal is to keep our facility in a clean and orderly condition.

Driving Required:

• Pay Rate: $18.20 per hour
• Shift: Full-time, 8:00 am- 3:30 pm
• Location: Fort Mccoy, Sparta WI

Job Duties:

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom
• clean, sanitize and restock bathrooms including sinks, toilets, glass and mirrors, stall walls, stainless steel areas.
• . Vacuum, sweep, mop floors and stairs.
• Empty trash and various recyclable cans and replace liners, clean receptacles, as necessary.
• Dust and clean office areas, desks and furniture that are not cluttered. Clean windowsills and windows. Obtain tools necessary for the job to be completed.
• Clean break rooms and other areas that are applicable to the contract
• Expected to safely operate equipment
• Contributes to teamwork by training and helping co-workers
• Continually performs duties with a special focus on safety, quality and customer service
• Perform and document routine inspection and maintenance activities
• Carry out heavy cleansing tasks and special projects
• Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairsMake adjustments and minor repairs
• Stock and maintain supply rooms
• Cooperate with the rest of the staff
• Follow all health and safety regulations

Requirements:

• High School diploma or G.E.D. helpful but not required.
• Experience: 1+ years of janitorial experience. Supervisory experience is helpful but not required.
• Certifications/Licenses: Driver’s License (regular license in IL, WI, OH, SC; or Class E in MO)
• Background Checks: Must pass criminal background check. Must pass various State and Federal registry checks. Must pass DCFS Abuse and Neglect Tracking System check.
• Driving: Must pass driving history check and Company policy criteria. Must maintain valid driver’s license and be 21 or older to drive Company van to transport workers, supplies, and equipment between building assignments. Company travel using personal insured vehicles is not required.
