Job summary

IES is seeking a Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician to serve as on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. You will ensure completion meeting quality and safety standards while maintaining staff efficiency.

You will coordinate with the Project Manager on productivity and budget, complete all project paperwork, perform quality checks, and act as the main on-site customer contact. Travel within the region may be required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least a High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in telecommunications or related technical field.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Minimum of six (6) months of supervisory and/or managerial experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and MS Project).
• Must meet Company minimum driving standards.
• Must know the universal communications color codes.

Responsibilities

• The Crew Lead Infrastructure Technician will consistently run major project crews; assume responsibility for effective performance and provide necessary training; ensure adherence to safety and quality guidelines and hold weekly safety meetings.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to ensure productivity, job completion and compliance with project budget.
• Fully complete all IES COMMERCIAL and project paperwork (timesheets, material transfers, work orders, change orders, tool transfers, etc.) on time.
• Perform quality checks and prepare red-lined as-built drawings.
• Serve as main on-site customer contact for questions/concerns; attend facility and construction meetings when required.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
