Job summary

IES is seeking a Lead Communication Technician to act as on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. You will ensure job completion meets safety and quality standards while guiding field staff.

You will lead major project crews, coordinate with the Project Manager on productivity and budget, perform quality checks, maintain paperwork, and serve as the main on-site contact with customers. Travel within regional territory is required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 3 years telecommunications experience.
• Must be able to terminate fiber.
• Minimum 6 months supervisory/managerial experience.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Able to travel within branch/regional territory.
• Must meet driving standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead major project crews and oversee safety and quality.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on productivity and budget.
• Complete project paperwork accurately and on time.
• Perform quality checks and prepare as-built drawings.
• Serve as on-site customer contact and attend meetings.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and support staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
