Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to lead daily crew operations, plan tasks, and coordinate with management on hiring needs and safety protocols. The role emphasizes training, performance management, and ensuring efficient, safe work in the field.

The ideal candidate will have CDL, strong leadership, and the ability to travel for storm work. This is a full-time, non-exempt position offering competitive hourly wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Understands drawings and symbols for lines, voltages, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organization and multi-tasking abilities.
• Able to adapt to field requirements with minimal supervision.
• Capable of safely driving an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above head for extended periods.
• Weight of employee should not exceed ~300 pounds for safety.
• No fear of heights and able to travel for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily crew work after orders from a supervisor.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew members.
• Enforces safety practices per OSHA and company policies; conducts safety training.
• Interacts with property owners to obtain access and explain work.
• Gathers permits and coordinates with customers on obstruction issues.
• Maintains crew records, timesheets, and reports of work performed.
• Investigates minor damage claims and reports incidents as needed.
• Controls crew costs through efficient staffing and methods.
