Job summary

Asplundh Tree Expert, LLC is seeking a Foreperson to oversee daily crew operations, coordinate with management on hiring needs, and enforce safety protocols per OSHA. This is a full-time, non-exempt role with competitive hourly pay.

The candidate must have a CDL, 18+ years old, a HS diploma or GED, and be able to train and mentor crew members while maintaining excellent customer relations. Travel for storm work is required.

Qualifications

• Understanding drawings and symbols for lines and equipment.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• Strong organizational ability and multitasking.
• Ability to adapt to field requirements and act independently.
• Must safely drive an approved company vehicle.
• Able to work with hands above shoulder height.
• Capable of traveling for storm work.

Responsibilities

• Plans, coordinates, and assigns daily work for the crew.
• Conducts field training and retraining for crew members.
• Enforces safe work practices per policies and OSHA.
• Coordinates with property owners on access and work scope.
• Obtains permission from property owners for work.
• Maintains positive customer relations and proper behavior on site.
• May investigate minor damage and report incidents.
• Keeps records, timesheets, and crew reports accurate.
• Controls crew costs and optimal use of resources.
• Furnishes reports to General Foreperson and utility reps.
• Furnishes incident and equipment reports as needed.
• Cooperates with police and fire in road/driveway closures.
• Sets up safety barriers and signage to protect staff and public.
