Job summary

HeyTutor is seeking Math Tutors for an in-person after-school program in Crenshaw, CA. You will support high school students (9th–12th) with math using provided curriculum and deliver engaging lessons in a classroom setting.

Requires an AA degree or current college enrollment; FBI background check is required. This role offers weekday hours, consistent schedule, and opportunities for growth within a leading EdTech tutoring network.

Qualifications

• Completed AA degree or higher, OR currently enrolled in college (required).
• Experience working with high school students preferred.
• Comfortable tutoring high school math and managing large groups.
• Ability to pass an FBI-DOJ in-person background check.

Responsibilities

• Tutor groups of students without direct teacher supervision.
• Deliver lessons using provided curriculum and materials.
• Create an engaging, welcoming learning environment.
• Support positive student behavior and participation.
• Track attendance and student progress using the HeyTutor Dashboard.
• Assist with student assessments when requested.
• Clock in/out daily using Deputy.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.
