Job summary

Bridgecrest-Credit-Company,-LLC, part of the DriveTime Family of Brands, is seeking a Collections Specialist to handle past-due auto loan accounts and negotiate payment plans. You will work to preserve customer relationships while meeting production targets, using multiple systems to review accounts and document interactions.

The role requires 2+ years in collections or financial services, strong negotiation, empathy, and discretion, plus the ability to pass a background check.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (required).
• 2+ years of experience in collections, financial services, and/or phone-based sales, customer service or customer relations.
• Call center experience in the financial services industry preferred.
• Ability to pass a drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Collect past due payments and negotiate payment plans.
• Create long term solutions to help customers maintain the loan and meet production goals.
• Make inbound and outbound contact with customers regarding past-due balances (1–60 days).
• Educate and negotiate with customers to influence payment.
• Navigate multiple systems to review accounts, process payments and annotate accounts.
• Assist customers to get back on the path to ownership through debt repayment plans.
• Monitor follow-up on all loan repayment agreements and oversee overdue accounts with automated systems.
• Listen to customer stories and determine if debt can be collected.
• Utilize skip tracing and other tools to locate customers.
• Maintain positive relationships with Loan Servicing team.
