Job summary

Santander Consumer USA Inc. is seeking an Associate Credit Risk Quality Control to join the First Line of Defense, developing and executing the Credit QC programs to ensure underwriting aligns with internal standards and regulatory expectations.

You will collaborate with CIB Credit Professionals, Risk Managers and Issues Management to identify weaknesses, drive remediation, and provide independent challenge across multiple business lines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent demonstrated through work experience.
• 5+ Years Experience in Credit Management, Internal Controls, Auditing, Risk Management.
• Strong written communication and ability to present to senior management.
• Advanced understanding of the regulatory environment and Second Line of Defense exposure.
• Demonstrated judgement in escalation and risk-based communication to executives.
• Strong analytical skills and proficiency with financial statements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and AI tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and execute the CIB Credit Risk Management Quality Control programs.
• Ensure the loan portfolio is underwritten in line with internal policies and regulatory expectations.
• Partner with CIB Credit Professionals, Credit Risk Managers and Issues Management on remediation.
• Provide independent challenge to business and credit teams and identify weaknesses across multiple lines of business.
