Job summary

Farmers Home Furniture is seeking a Credit/AR Supervisor in the Valley, AL area to oversee accounts receivable and collection duties. You will approve credit, investigate financial status of applicants, and manage delinquent accounts to protect store assets.

The role requires at least 3 years in accounting/bookkeeping or collections, a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license. You will lead staff and ensure compliant credit procedures and documentation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Three (3) years experience in accounting, bookkeeping, loan processing, and/or collections.
• Must possess and maintain a valid State Driver's License.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounts receivable and collection activities.
• Approve or decline and issue lines of credit; conduct credit investigations.
• Ensure proper credit approval procedures are followed to limit losses.
• Contact delinquent customers by phone or text to arrange payment; send notices to encourage payment.
• Supervise staff and direct work to maintain efficient credit operations.
• Prepare paperwork prior to legal action for severely delinquent accounts.
• Maintain organized, secure store files and accurate administrative records.
• Ensure daily bookkeeping and cash handling procedures are followed.
