Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Rental Credit Specialist to analyze creditworthiness and risk for Ryder Rental, National Rental and FMG customers.

You will provide credit recommendations to local management to support sales growth while mitigating risk across all product lines. The role involves reviewing credit requests, financial statements and ownership structures, and coordinating with sales, collections and operations to manage exposure.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance or accounting or 3 years equivalent work experience.
• Two years or more experience in commercial credit.
• Two years or more experience in financial statement analysis preferred.

Responsibilities

• Works with Rental, National Rental, FMG sales on credit requests for new customers or increased lines.
• Assist Lease analyst in initial review of lease assignments and collecting Ryder documentation.
• Reviews credit reports, company history and financial statements.
• Reviews customer credit to determine deterioration and adjust credit exposure and lines.
• Communicates with stop loss, collections, sales and operations on high-risk accounts.
• Verifies critical documentation and security from customers (ACH amendments, deposits, ILOCs, guarantees).
• Assists daily with Credit Hold Mailbox and communications.
