Legal.io is seeking an experienced Creator Content Counsel to support the content legal team for a leading global social media and technology platform. This role focuses on content licensing, creator partnerships, sponsorships, and other commercial content initiatives, providing practical guidance that balances business objectives with legal risk.

Qualifications

JD required and bar membership in good standing.
5–7 years of commercial legal experience.
Experience negotiating content licensing, creator, media, or partnership agreements.
In-house experience at a tech/media platform preferred.
Strong drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
Ability to provide practical, solutions-oriented legal advice.

Responsibilities

Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial content agreements (licensing, creator, sponsorship, production, brand collaborations).
Review promotions, contests, and marketing materials and draft official rules.
Provide pragmatic legal guidance balancing business goals and regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and cross-functional teams.
Identify risks and craft pragmatic solutions for creator/content initiatives.
Embed with teams to provide ongoing legal support as products evolve.
Leverage AI tools to develop templates, workflows, and process improvements.
