Job summary

Nex is seeking an experienced commercial attorney to lead legal support for its content and partnerships ecosystem. You will negotiate content, IP licensing, and publishing agreements, while supporting vendor and hardware contracts as needed, reporting to the General Counsel.

The role emphasizes building playbook templates, cross‑functional collaboration, and leveraging AI tools to accelerate contract review and negotiations in a fast‑moving gaming platform context.

Qualifications

• Hold a J.D. and active bar membership (California or another U.S. state, as applicable).
• 7–10+ years combined law firm and in‑house experience, including content/partnership support.
• Direct experience negotiating publishing/content licensing deals; entertainment IP licensing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead legal support for Nex's content and partnerships ecosystem, negotiating content and IP licensing deals, developer and publishing agreements, and strategic partnerships.
• Provide secondary support on commercial vendor, retail/distribution, and hardware supply chain agreements.
• Partner with Product Counsel to identify privacy/regulatory issues and flag COPPA-relevant terms.
• Build trusted cross‑functional relationships and design templates/CLM workflows for content, developer, and partnership agreements.
