Job summary

Michaels is seeking an Event Coordinator for our store in Alabama to plan and run engaging events, including children's parties and crafting classes. You will interact with customers of all ages, teach activities, and ensure a fun, safe, and organized event experience.

The role involves coordinating add-ons, communicating with clients and team members, and maintaining store standards during events and daily operations.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal andcommunication skills; able to engage customers of all ages.
• Experience working with children and planning events is beneficial.
• Ability to stay organized and handle multiple tasks in a store environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events (children's parties, crafts, classes).
• Engage with customers and store team to run events smoothly.
• Demonstrate and instruct participants in crafts; manage face painting and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) and ensure company standards.
• Handle administrative tasks (emails, calls, paperwork) and communicate with clients.
