Job summary

Michaels Vallejo Store is seeking an energetic Events Coordinator to plan and execute in-store events, including kids parties, to create a fun and creative experience for guests. You will assist customers, manage checkouts, and support store operations while upholding safety and cleanliness standards.

You will coordinate multiple events, engage participants of all ages, and help with add-ons, decorations, and party activities.

Qualifications

• Must have excellent people skills and enjoy working with guests of all ages.
• Experience with children's events or parties is preferred.
• Strong communication, listening, and interpersonal abilities are essential.
• Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Problem solving and creative thinking to handle event challenges.
• Retail and/or customer service experience required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and execute events and parties in-store.
• Provide fast, friendly customer service and assist shoppers.
• Assist with checkouts, returns, and store operations while engaging guests.
• Set up and break down event spaces; manage decorations and supplies.
• Support BOPIS and Ship From Store processes as needed.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety standards during events.
