Michaels Stores in Baltimore area is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including kids birthdays, while delivering friendly customer service. You will assist customers, manage registrations, and coordinate with store staff to ensure seamless experiences.

Qualifications

• Retail and/or customer service experience required.
• Must have experience working with children and children’s events.
• Must have good communication skills including written, verbal, and nonverbal communication as well as listening skills.
• Must have organizational skills, interpersonal skills, and creative problem-solving skills.
• Energetic and enthusiastic personality.
• Ability to handle job stress and interact effectively with others.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) within a Michaels store.
• Help customers shop, locate products, and provide them with solutions.
• Provide fast and friendly checkout experience and enroll customers in Rewards/Private Label Credit Cards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails, phone calls, and paperwork.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and create backup plans.
• Ensure client satisfaction and uphold store cleanliness and safety during events.
