Job summary

Michaels Store in Baltimore area seeks a Store Event Coordinator to plan and run kids’ parties and craft activities, delivering a fun, engaging experience for guests. You’ll handle planning, execution, and wrap-up while maintaining store standards and safety.

You will support multiple events, assist with BOPIS/SFS processes, and collaborate with team members to ensure guest satisfaction. Prior experience with children’s events and strong communication are required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly customer service by helping customers shop and find products.
• Ensure all customers receive a fast and friendly checkout experience.
• Perform operational tasks such as truck unloads, merchandise duties, and maintaining store recovery standards to deliver brand promises.
• Plan multiple events concurrently, engage clients of all ages (4–94+), and create an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in craft projects and face‑painting activities.
• Facilitate and implement party add‑ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate event details with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks including answering emails, making phone calls, and processing paperwork.
