Job summary

The Michaels Companies in New Orleans, LA is seeking a Part-Time Party and Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children’s parties, to create a fun, engaging experience for guests. You will assist customers, deliver fast checkouts, and support stock and store recovery tasks as needed.

The role requires energetic, customer-focused individuals with experience handling children’s events and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Proven ability to engage with guests of all ages and create a fun, creative environment.
• Experience planning and coordinating events or classes, including children's parties.
• Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to handle busy store environments.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events within the Michaels store, including children’s parties and other craft events.
• Demonstrate crafts and activities to participants and assist with party add-ons (goody bags, balloons, etc.).
• Assist customers, process transactions, and promote store programs (Rewards, Private Label Credit Cards).
• Complete operational tasks such as stocking, recovery, and adherence to SOPs.
