Job summary

The Michaels Stores in the Clearwater area is seeking an Events Coordinator to plan, coordinate and facilitate events (including kids birthday parties) inside the store, delivering a fun, creative experience and a fast, friendly checkout experience.

You will engage with guests of all ages, instruct crafts, handle party add-ons, and communicate with clients and team members while maintaining safety and cleanliness across the store. Prior experience with children's events is preferred.

Qualifications

• Retail or customer service experience required.
• Experience working with children and children's events preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and facilitate events inside Michaels stores.
• Engage guests of all ages and instruct craft projects.
• Manage add-ons (balloons, goody bags) and client communications.
• Ensure fast, friendly checkout and maintain store recovery standards.
• Assist with store operations including stocking and safety compliance.
