Job summary

Michaels in Hiram, GA seeks an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate store events, including kids’ birthday parties, while delivering friendly customer service. You will engage customers, help them shop, and lead activities like face painting to create a fun, engaging experience for all ages.

You’ll handle logistics, communicate with clients and team, assist with checkouts, and support store operations including rewards enrollment and omni-channel processes.

Qualifications

• Experience in customer service or retail settings.
• Experience planning or coordinating events, especially children’s events, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to engage customers of all ages.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events in-store, including kids birthdays and craft classes.
• Engage customers and assist with product selection and solutions.
• Lead activities such as face painting and project demonstrations.
• Manage add-ons (balloons, goody bags) and ensure safety and cleanliness.
• Coordinate with clients and store team; handle emails, calls, and paperwork.
• Support checkout processes and enroll customers in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards.
