Job summary

Michaels Stores in Brunswick, GA is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and coordinate in-store events, including children's birthday parties, delivering a fun, safe, and engaging experience for guests.

You will assist customers, help them find products, manage checkout, enroll them in Rewards and Private Label Credit Cards, and support omni-channel processes while keeping the store tidy and stocked.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once including children’s birthday parties and other craft classes or events.
• Engage with clients of all ages, from 4 to 94+, by creating an environment of fun and creativity.
• Demonstrate and instruct party participants in the completion of craft projects and activities.
• Facilitate add-ons such as goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members.
• Complete administrative tasks such as answering emails and phone calls.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs.
• Create backup or emergency plans and ensure client satisfaction.
• Uphold cleanliness and safety standards; set up and break down events.
