Job summary

Michaels in Kennesaw, GA is seeking an Event Coordinator to plan, coordinate, and facilitate store events including kids’ birthday parties. You’ll deliver friendly customer service and help guests shop while ensuring fast, friendly checkout and smooth event operations.

You will engage clients of all ages, demonstrate crafts, manage add-ons, and support store standards, safety, and cleanliness throughout events. Prior retail or customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s birthday parties.
• Engage with clients of all ages to create a fun and creative environment.
• Demonstrate crafts and supervise activities during events.
• Manage party add-ons like goody bags and balloons to company standards.
• Assist customers in locating products and providing solutions.
• Ensure fast, friendly checkout and participate in BOPIS/SFS processes.
• Complete administrative tasks such as emails and phone calls.
• Maintain store cleanliness and safety before and after events.
• Support store operations including truck unloads, stocking, and planograms.
