Job summary

Michaels is seeking an energetic Event Coordinator to plan and run in-store events, including children's birthday parties, at our Laveen, AZ location. You will deliver friendly service, assist customers, and ensure smooth event execution, from planning to wrap-up.

The role emphasizes engagement across all ages and adherence to store standards. Responsibilities include coordinating multiple events, guiding participants, performing face painting and activities, and handling follow-up

Qualifications

• Experience planning or coordinating events, especially children's parties.
• Strong customer service skills with all ages.
• Ability to engage customers and guide them to solutions.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate multiple events at once, including children’s parties and crafts.
• Engage clients of all ages to create a fun, creative environment.
• Demonstrate and lead participants through craft projects and activities.
• Coordinate add-ons (goody bags, balloons) to brand standards.
• Communicate events with clients and store team members; handle emails/phone calls.
• Adjust plans based on client feedback and needs; prepare backups.
• Ensure cleanliness and safety; set up/break down events; handle SOPs and policies.
