Job summary

The Michaels Companies, Inc. is seeking an energetic events coordinator to plan and run in-store activities, including children’s birthday parties, at our Glendale, CA location.

You will help customers, guide them through purchases, and participate in omni-channel processes while supporting daily store operations. Qualities include strong people skills, excellent communication, and the ability to manage multiple activities with a customer-first mindset.

Qualifications

• Energetic and enthusiastic disposition with a positive attitude.
• Must have experience working with children and children's events.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, and strong listening skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate events including children’s parties and craft classes.
• Assist customers, locate products, and provide solutions at checkout.
• Engage with guests and upsell rewards programs and card enrollments.
• Support store operations: unloading trucks, stocking, and planogram tasks.
• Maintain store cleanliness and ensure safety standards at all times.
